Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes (Death Valley National Park, California)

September 2014: One has to be up before the sun rises and be ready and waiting on the Dunes because the sun rises very quickly and one has to be in the right place to take the picture.  That day the temperature rose to 45 degrees, so being in an air-conditioned car is a must if visiting this place.  The vistas are spectacular and walking over the dunes is very hard work, so a degree of fitness is required.
