“The Journey or The Destination” has been handwoven, the imagery is conveyed through disperse dye on a synthetic warp. Freehand machine embroidery and hand embroidery have also been used to add further texture and detail. The inspiration for this piece has come from the fact that when walking in the countryside we often have an intended destination. However, in many cases although we aspire to reach a certain point it is actually the Journey that can be most valuable.
