‘Waterfall’ is based on the experience of walking up and alongside a waterfall on the way to Easedale Tarn in the Lake District. I have used Photoshop to explored the contrast of the shapes and patterns created by the water. I was struck on this occasion by the idea that from a distance the waterfall looks like a stationary white mark on the landscape. It is only by moving up it and walking close by it, that you can experience it.
